This is the home page for Dr. Waggoner’s fully on-line Mod 3 2014 course at AMC, Religion and

Popular Culture.

To complete this course you MUST have access to reliable internet, which is available on campus for anyone to use.

Familiarize yourself with the course website:

1) Read all of the information on the Syllabus page. This includes information about policies, the required text, contacting me, computer requirements, grading, drop/add, academic integrity, and help numbers.

2) Read the description of the Student Learning Outcomes for this course on the Outcomes page. This explains what you will be expected to learn to do, and the criteria that I will use when grading your work.

3) Read the Instructions for Assignments page. This includes information about what is expected from each of the different kinds of assignments, and where they are to be submitted.

4) Look over the Schedule page. This contains everything you need to know about what to do and when to do it. It also contains links to all of the readings, video lectures, homework assignments, blog posts, midterm, final essay, and final presentation assignments.

5) Look at the Homework page. This page contains instructions for all homework assignments each week, including summaries, study questions, and “scholarly skills” assignments.

6) Log into AMC’s eLearning (Moodle) system and click on this course. Look over the links to the homework assignments, final presentation, and final essay.

After you have familiarized yourself with the course website, then you are ready to begin. Your first assignment on the Schedule is due by 5 PM Tuesday 1/21. As with all of the assignments, you will submit your written work in eLearning (Moodle). One of the most important things for you to do in this class is to submit all of your work on time. If you do not submit your work in a timely manner it will be difficult to pass, but if you do make timely submissions, your chances of doing well in this class greatly improve.

You can contact me anytime at mwaggoner@albertus.edu, or 203-500-1984 (text). Be sure to include your name, the course you’re asking about, and a specific question.
